I much preferred Taipei to Manilla, the greenery was incredibly welcome after the harsh concrete & sun of Manilla, gosh. I made a really good friend (Tilly!!), dated a bit, did some extra-curriculars (group workouts in the park, open mic nights and shit), explored the city, etc. Itβs a very very vibey place.
I was hella smitten with Taipei immediately - soooo much greener than Manila, and so dense and interesting and just fucking vibe-y, cool neon signs everywhere and shit

Iβd do night-time runs/HIIT as it was a bit cooler (still ~22 degrees C and hella humid though). Elephant Mountain!! Loved it

There are these awesome little temples/shrines everywhere burning incense - youβd get a whiff of incense and know you were close
You could rent bikes for hella cheap so getting around was super fun
