Became obsessed with David Bowie

  • I forget how this happened too! But I remember starting with his first (well, second, but everyone ignores his real first album) and then working my way through his discography for a while, and then he died! And I was in a lecture and the lecturer was like β€œoh yeah, sorry I’m feeling a bit sad today, David Bowie died” and I was so gutted!!! And I’d been listening to Blackstar for 2 days, it had only been out for two days and then he died!!! Wtf!! What an incredible artist

  • I went through his albums in order for a while:

  • David Bowie - 1969

  • The Man Who Sold the World - 1970

  • Hunky Dory - 1971

  • The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars - 1972

  • Aladdin Sane - 1973

  • Diamond Dogs - 1974

  • Young Americans - 1975

  • Station to Station - 1976

  • Low - 1977

  • β€œHeroes” - 1977

  • Got kinda burnt out at this point and barely listened to these:

    • Lodger - 1979
    • Scary Monsters (and Super Creeps) - 1980
  • THEN FUCKING BLACKSTAR CAME OUT, AND I LOVED IT, AND THEN 2 DAYS LATER HE DIED! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!

  • πŸ‘† I should listen to his late-career albums at some point
