I had AI make me a “math from the absolute beginners” primer (I’ll link it at the bottom)
I’m only a few pages in but holy shit is it so good!!!!
One thing I’ve found really useful is the (very basic, but very much not-in-my-brain) distinction between axioms vs theorems vs lemmas
And I liked these things (amongst others):
“Axioms are the seeds, theorems are the trees”
and also the thing of “from 5 axioms, all of Euclidean Geometry results”
and also the thing of “change one of the Euclidean axioms and you get a totally different (but still totally valid) type of maths” (and this is the case for any axiomatic system, I guess??)
