My gf was the absolute best thing in my life so of course I wanted to go to uni with her

Again, no need to write more. To not go to university with her would have been absolutely mad, seriously shooting myself in the foot. Itโs not like she was a random meh girlfriend and I went to uni with her despite not really wanting to. I really really wanted to be with her
